Discover Newmarket has announced an exclusive new tour to one of the finest breeding facilities in the world, Cheveley Park Stud. This once in a lifetime, one-off tour, will take place on Wednesday, 28th June 2017 with limited availability.
Visitors on this tour will visit the famous Newmarket Gallops to watch some of the 3000 horses housed in Newmarket, being put through their paces on Warren Hill, after this, visitors will journey to the prestigious Jockey Club Rooms. This members’ only club was founded in the middle of the 18th Century and still boasts original features from the days when gentlemen, politicians and royalty met to discuss, wager and argue over their racehorses.
From there, visitors will travel to the Bedford Lodge Hotel and Spa to enjoy a sumptuous two-course lunch in luxurious surroundings. Afterwards, the tour will continue to the main event, the Cheveley Park Stud, renowned as one of the most successful Thoroughbred horse farms in Europe.
Racing fans will be in for a treat on this tour, as they will get to see the home of eight top class stallions, including Pivotal, who has sired 26 Group 1 winners and 137 Stakes winners. Other stallions currently in residence at Cheveley Park include Dutch Art, Lethal Force and Twilight Son. The visit will include a tour of the facilities, stallion parade, and will meet some mares and foals along the way.
The new, full day, one-off tour is a real must for equestrian and racing lovers alike. Spaces are available at £120 per person and are limited so visitors are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
